The new face of fun....

Sam loves this box. He thinks the boy is real, and the boy gives Sam much more attention than Jordan does, so Sam is in attention heaven with this box. He spent 20 minutes in front of it yesterday just smiling and squealing. Thanks box boy!

The first snow

I think Jordan is pretty excited to play in the snow this year. We just bought him some snow boots last night and he has a nice winter coat and snow pants that finally fit him. We just need to convince him to keep his hat and gloves on and we're set for the snow!

(Don't mind his messy face, I think he had just eaten a cupcake....)
He's saying, "it's so c-c-c-cold!"

Benji and I also got snow boots last night and I got an awesome green, brown and white Columbia winter coat. It's so warm and it was on sale! We also bought some warm hats and wool socks. This is the first time since we've been married that we've had to worry about winter clothes! It should be an interesting winter....we'll see if California turned us into wimps! :)

Happy Belated Birthday Mom!!

It was my mom's birthday last Saturday, but I was out of town and away from my computer so I didn't get to wish her a happy birthday on my blog. We were with her in person though, so that was way more fun anyway.

Happy Birthday Mom!! We love you so much. You are a fun grandma and my kids adore you! We love living closer to you and we're happy we've been able to see you more often.

We hope you had a good birthday! What are you now??? 32?? I've lost track, but you certainly are looking younger with each birthday you have! We love you!!
Happy Birthday!!

Jumping.....and landing.

As Jordan gets older and more coordinated he's becoming more daring. He loves jumping off, in, on or around anything that looks fun.

The best part of getting pictures of him jumping are the landing pictures. Perfect for Halloween!

Scary huh!? It doesn't help that it's a little blurry so it makes it look like his face melting!

*And yes, he never wears pants.

Let's make like a tree and leaf....

Jordan has been loving the leaves on the ground! I have been loving the weather and smells of Autumn. What a wonderful time of year.

Learning to sit

I couldn't help myself....this was too funny and cute.

Bedhead

I get a funny surprise every morning from Sam because his bedhead hair keeps getting crazier, I never know what to expect.

This was two days ago...the picture doesn't do it justice, his hair was a curly triangle.

This was this morning.

Beautiful!

Hiking with dad

Jordan and Benji went for a hike in Mantua for their turn-out last Saturday. It was a perfect day for a hike. This is Jordan's charming smile. What a goof.

Some funny Jordan moments of the day....

While Jordan was eating lunch I asked him, "Are you ready for a nap after lunch?" He didn't respond so I asked, "Are you tired, Jordan?" Nothing. "After lunch we're going to go upstairs and take a nap." Nothing. "Jordan, are you ready for a nap?"
Finally Jordan responds with, "This is annoying."

We picked up Benji from work today and as we were passing the Brigham City Tabernacle (Jordan's favorite landmark in Brigham) he noticed that the tabernacle was hidden by trees for a few seconds. He concluded, "the Tabernacle is a ninja!"

At dinner Jordan said he was done eating so Benji told him he needed to take two more big bites. After eating his last bites he started smacking his lips repeatedly then stopped to say, "that's what a squirrel says."

Jordan's turn-out to the airport

Jordan had a lot of fun looking at the planes. This turn-out idea was all his. He's getting creative.

Airport

Jordan and Benji just left on their turn-out to go to the Brigham City airport. I had to hurry and snap a picture of my cute pilot before they left.

Halloween decorations

Last year I bought some Halloween decorations on clearance and was so excited to use them this year, but there was a big problem. The decorations I bought are yard decorations and I don't have a yard, but because I love them I improvised.

I bought two pots on sale for $3 and bought black, orange and purple paint.

Add some dirt, painted rocks and about an hours time and you get these......

So this pot needs some work on the inside. I'll get to that later....

Aren't these bats the cutest guards to a haunted house a little family of ghouls could hope for. (I couldn't help myself....)

Comforters, pillows, tents and temples

The other night Jordan woke up crying. I went in to see what was wrong only to find a frozen, icy, shivering little boy in his bed. The poor kid was SO cold. He usually sleeps with his two blankets which he lovingly named, "cozy dog" and "cozy frog" but apparently they aren't enough. So the next day I went and purchased him a big comforter and pillow so he can be tucked in every night. He was pretty excited. Here he is trying everything out for the first time.

Here is a picture of the awesome tent we built for General Conference today. Jordan was having fun sitting inside, but he wasn't too happy about the picture.

And last, but not least.....
Brigham City is getting a temple!!! (We are excited and can't wait!)
