I was boxing up more of our stuff when I noticed my funny Sharpie knock-off. I laughed so hard and I'm not sure if it's the name of the marker or that it looks just like a Sharpie or maybe even the fumes from the marker....(P.S. This is my 500th post!)
And I took this funny/cool picture of my basketball star.He can't really jump that high--he's jumping off one of those boxes I packed. They are good for something after all!
I'm having a hard typing this, I don't want to type it, I don't know if my fingers will let me.
In a few weeks my blog is going p r i v a t e.
Phew, that was difficult. Yes, we're going private. After a long discussion--longer than it needed to be, because I was being difficult--we decided it would be wise if we knew who was viewing our blog. We're doing it, and I'll cooperate (with my arms folded and a scowl on my face).
So, please leave a comment with your email address. We will be going private right before we move into our lovely new home (in 10 days) so if you want to continue reading and you want to see our new house let us know by then.
We had pizza with Canadian bacon and Canada Dry ginger ale for dinner tonight to celebrate the Olympics. I know, I know, we're nerds, but we had fun. Does anyone else get this excited about the Olympics? Because we love them here in the Hadfield home.
Today we went to the grocery store. We were there forever and I spent a ton of money, but I did save $50 because of coupons--but I still spent a ton of money, so was it worth it?? I don't know. Anyway, we finally reached the check-out counter after an hour and a half of shopping (!) and we started unloading everything when Jordan struck up a conversation with the lady in front of us. I was so impressed with how confident he was and how talkative he was being. I was smiling from ear to ear until he said, "today I made a BIG, HUGE stinky poop on the potty!" She couldn't stop laughing.
Anyway, we got home and started unloading all the loot when I found this nifty disinfectant spray in one of my bags. I know I didn't put it in the cart while shopping, so I was so confused how I ended up with it. But one more glance at it and I knew exactly who put it in the cart and I couldn't stop laughing.Jordan is obsessed with waterfalls. He is also getting very sneaky. Oh, and I did pay for it, I checked my receipt, so now we own it. Jordan will be pleased.
One of these days Miami will actually be in the Superbowl and then nobody will laugh when we wear our jerseys. Jordan got a new jersey of his own. He's so proud of his Aggie shirt. Then there were a few that actually wore the colors of a team that was actually in the Superbowl. Trust him...he's a doctor. My boys loved being with Grandma. (Out of 7 pictures this one was really the best!...) Jordan loved having so many kids to play with and to have bubbles to play with!
It was Jordan. I tried to have a 'we only color on paper' conversation without laughing--I wasn't successful. Who knows if he learned anything. Sam loved the attention.
Last week I told Jordan we were planning on going to visit grandma at school and he immediately ran away. I couldn't figure why he would be afraid of school, but he came running back a few minutes later with his koala backpack. He was so excited and it was so cute. So we put important school supplies (paintbrushes and candies) in the backpack and went to my mom's school on Monday. My mom teaches Utah and U.S. history to 7th and 8th graders at a school in the Salt Lake area and we were lucky enough to visit and meet all the kids for half of the school day. Jordan loved showing off his basketball skills to all the kids, and Sam loved all the attention everyone gave him--basically my boys love attention.
We have a new friend that comes and visits during the day. It's a small cat, and it seems as though he has claimed us, because he comes everyday and sleeps on our back porch, or in our stroller, or on our window ledge. The boys love knocking on the window so he will come and rub his head on it. He probably has a family somewhere because we don't feed him, but he sure likes us.
Jordan made a cute groundhog mask, but was afraid of it, so he wouldn't put it on. So if he's afraid of the groundhog does that mean it's almost spring??
