Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we went to a family party, it's where I took the pictures of Hannah under the tree, but those are the only pictures I took. On the way home from the party I told the boys they could open one present when we got home. They were SO excited that I almost felt guilty that they were only getting pajamas. The boys didn't seem to care and Jordan even shouted, "SWEET! Pajamas!"

At the Hadfield party we played a white elephant game and my boys were thoroughly delighted with the gifts they got. If you can't tell.....

Then I took a few pictures of them showing off their new jammies.

This picture deserves a funny caption, but I can't think of anything right now.

Then we put out Santa's cookies, donuts for the elves and a carrot for Rudolph.
I love how Jordan is looking at that cookie!

These are the elf donuts. My boys thought they were so cool and funny. They also ate a few of the chocolate ones when I wasn't looking.

I stayed up until 2:30 that morning wrapping presents, making rolls to go with our breakfast and cleaning. I haven't stayed up that late in a LONG time. My back started hurting so bad that I ended up putting a lot of presents in gift bags instead of wrapping them. That would have been pretty normal except I only had gift bags from my baby shower. So our Christmas tree had a lot of baby girl bags under it.

Sam was full of great cheesy smiles this day.

Looking for Santa.

My favorite present this year.

Daddy's Girl

Hannah adores Benji. You can tell how much she loves him when he holds her and talks to her, she will sit and listen to him with this sweet look on her face. I have to work hard to get her to smile at me, but she will smile when she first sees him. She will also try and find him when she can hear his voice.

Week 5

Hannah spent the 5th week of her life gaining a lot of weight...all in her cheeks. She also broke out in a generous amount of baby acne.

 She absolutely loves bath time!
See what I mean about the cheeks...

This was right after her bath, she zonked out on the couch in front of the fire.

And here is a sneak peak of her cute Christmas outfit. (That she is not so happy to show off.)

SMILE!

You know what makes a scraped up shin feel better? When it looks like a smiley face!

One month

This sweet girl turned one month old yesterday. She smiled at me yesterday morning for the first time, I'm pretty sure it was a genuine smile and not gas. She smiled three times in a row and she cooed at me. This morning she did it again! It's nice to know she's so pleasant when she wakes up.

So Benji does not like this picture at all. He hates naked baby pictures. I cropped this picture a little bit in case it offends anyone else. As for me, I love it, and I'm so happy I got a picture of her smiling.

Names

Sam has been giving his animals and toys some great names lately. I'm impressed with how fast he can come up with a new and original name. He also remembers the name he gives each toy. Here are some of my favorites.

Meego

Rain Puddle

Azezah

Beebow

Brown Bear
Sicky Sick

It's not just Sam though. Jordan is pretty good at giving names as well. Benji bought Jordan these dolphins (yeah, I know they are fish, but Jordan calls them dolphins), and when Benji asked what their names were Jordan immediately said, "Finny, Squirt and Red Bird." He didn't even think about it!
(Finny is MIA, he is a yellow dolphin)

Those aren't even the best ones though. Jordan's angry birds have names.
They are Roofs and Phone-computer.

Santa Videos

There is a fun website where you can make a personalized video where Santa talks to your child. I made one for Jordan and one for Sam and they loved them. It is easy and free and so fun to watch the wonder in your child's eyes. Jordan hasn't been able to stop talking about his video. He was so excited to find out he was on the nice list.

Here is the link to one of videos. I think this one is Sam's.

Jordan watched his before he went to bed one night. He loved it!

Sam watched his the next morning, isn't his hair is fabulous. It looks like he didn't like the video, but he would respond to questions Santa would ask, he waved to the elves, he and was excited when he found out he was on the nice list. So I think he liked it!

Date night

One of the things I love about Brigham City is that the movie theater here has cry rooms. They are up above the theater in a room next to where they project the movie. They have comfy seats and you can sit with crying babies and watch movies without bothering anyone. Tonight Hannah and I were going to have a girl's night and go see Breaking Dawn. I packed plenty of hand sanitizer AND sanitizing wipes to clean the cry room before the movie started. When I got there I found out that two theaters don't have cry rooms and one of those was the Breaking Dawn theater, of course. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Dinner

This is what cooking dinner looks like lately, lots of helpers and only one hand.

One more of Hannah

After this post, I will have completely caught up on all the pictures I have of Hannah. That doesn't mean there won't be more posts of her, because I'm sure there will be a lot, but I won't be posting 5 times a day. I can't even believe that next week she will be a month old!! It's so sad how fast they change from newborn, to baby, but it's fun too. I'm so looking forward to smiles and coos and laughter. I always have to tell myself that even though it's hard to see children get older it's also so fun to watch them grow up and do new things and learn new things. What a privilege it is to be part of that!

Here is Hannah all snuggled in her carseat. Oh, so cuddly.

I love the tongue sticking out!

Seriously, check out those squishable cheeks!

I was trying to get a picture of her cheeks and crazy hair. Haha

I love how babies look swaddled, I put her down to go get my camera and then I loved how tiny she looked on the love seat. Sam told me she looked like a noodle.

There was one day she was making so many funny faces (I think she was pooping!! haha) I wish this was in focus because this makes me laugh.

These next pictures were a test. I wanted to see if that basket would be fun for a photo shoot, but it was night and I didn't have good lighting, so I set up some pictures so I could recreate them the next day. She wasn't very happy because she was so hungry.

And then she just got mad at me. I really like this picture. I wish it was more focused on her face. I'll have to recreate this photo shoot when I have good lighting.
