It just had to be today......*

It's a good thing I took this picture of sweet sleeping Jordan this morning because it reminded me why I didn't want to kill him when he did this today...

Did I mention he did it on purpose!?

*I changed the original title of this post because I didn't really almost kill Jordan. I didn't even get close. I wouldn't ever physically hurt my child, but he did know I was VERY angry because I did yell, and I never yell. Just so you all know my sons are safe in my care even under great amounts of stress. That's all.

Bath time

Well, tomorrow is the big day! We're picking up our truck in the morning and hopefully getting it all loaded up so we can leave on Tuesday morning. It's been a lot of hard work and I can't wait for it to be over with. It's been nice to have a break today, but I have a feeling tomorrow is going to a long day!

Well, here are a few pictures I just took. Sam loves bath time and I love watching him in the bath. He's just so dang cute kicking back and relaxing in all his chunky goodness. Jordan has been helping lately with Sam's bath time by rinsing the bubbles off of Sam's toes. (I had to choose the spot farthest from his eyes!)

Oh, and it looks like I'm going to have a thumb sucker.

My genius idea.

I have been having a hard time getting Jordan to cooperate while getting his hair washed in the bath. Okay, let's be honest, I've always had a hard time getting him to cooperate in the bath. So I came up with a great idea yesterday and it worked like a charm!! I simply put a sticker on the ceiling and told him to look at it. His head was back so I was able to dump water on his head with out getting it in his eyes (which makes him angry) and because it's a picture of a paintbrush he held perfectly still the whole time.

So, I had to get pictures because it seriously made me laugh so hard to see the stupid sticker on my ceiling. I could barely get the words out when I was telling my little sister about it. Partly it's the fact that my son is so obsessed with brushes. Seriously, what is up with that!? It's probably not funny to anyone but me, but here are the pictures anyway.

Far away.
Up close.

Happy Birthday Benji!

Yesterday was Benji's birthday. Since we have been busy packing up the contents of our house Benji went for a relaxing birthday matinee all by himself. He saw Transformers 2 and I'm pretty sure he liked it, but being out of the house for a few hours was probably more enjoyable! Later that day we went to the Lincoln Shrine in Redlands. There was a guy who collected Abraham Lincoln and Civil War stuff and later donated it to the city. It is a beautiful building and it has so many interesting things inside. When we came home we had a pizza and cake party and then Benji went on exchanges with the missionaries. I think he had a good birthday!

The birthday boy and his boys!

One of my favorite things in the museum is all of the cool old books about Lincoln.

Jordan's favorite part was the fountain out front.

Benji picked out what he wanted written on his cake....

Our awesome frozen pizza dinner--picnic style!

Not so crabby....

It's beginning to look a lot like we're moving.....

It's sad to say that this is just the beginning! These boxes represent hours of unpaid labor! :)

This is our living room.

And our garage.Do you like the magic floating box in the back? Wow, we need a crash course in box stacking.

These clothes and three pairs of shoes are the only things left in my closet. You know, I would save tons of closet space if I only had three pairs of shoes. Imagine that!

And my cupboards are all starting to look like this.

Hopefully it works!

I just bought this snack and play tray for the long journey to Utah. I am hoping it keeps Jordan happy. He was way excited when I told him it was to hold his snacks and toys because he now thinks he gets fruit snacks for the drive.

P.S. That photo is not of Jordan...just in case you were confused. :)

I wanna be like Mike

Jordan's basketball hoop is the place where he puts all of his stickers. I love it because his hoop has lots of personality and I don't end up with stickers on my TV or something. (Not yet, at least!) When I got Jordan dressed this morning he informed me he was wearing Michael Jordan clothes. So I thought it was the perfect day to get a picture of him with his awesome hoop and "Bulls" jersey. I wonder if Michael Jordan ever put stickers on his hoop?

A week of HARD work and lots of play....

This is our last week in California. We are a little sad and a lot happy. We are going to miss our friends, our ward, our little house, but we are so happy to be graduated! We decided since we will never live in Southern California again we should see a few sights before we leave. So we are taking a mini vacation while working our butts off to get our house packed and ready for the big move!

We had fun at Huntington beach on Tuesday and today we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific. We were going to go to Disneyland tomorrow, but we've heard it's been insanely busy lately (our friends couldn't get in because the park closed due to meeting maximum capacity!)

That's Benji in the ocean behind these two cuties.

Watching the huge sea bass with Taylor and Sonny.

Jelly fish.

Maybe...

When I was telling Jordan that we were going to the Aquarium of the Pacific this week his little face lit up and he told me, "see blimp!" I told him I didn't think there would be blimps at the aquarium and he said, "might be. Check and see!"

Well, we're off to the Aquarium of the Pacific right now and I'll let you know if we see any blimps! Lots of pictures coming later.....

Happy Father's Day!

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

Thanks for always teaching me how to fish! Happy Father's Day!
I love you!!

Celebration

Yesterday we went out to celebrate two special occasions. First of all, Benji's "coolest shirt in the world" finally got 200 fans on Facebook, so as promised, he was able to wear it in public. Also, Benji finished his last requirement for school and is now officially a dentist! We decided to go to Rainforest Cafe thinking that Jordan would love it. As it turns out Jordan is afraid of rain forest noises, animals, and restaurants that have both.We probably had the most coveted seats in the restaurant, right next to the elephants, but of course Jordan hated them.

He spent most of the time crying.

Or in Benji's arms.

In his defense, the elephants were pretty big, and this close to us.

They are standing in front of a waterfall, which normally would make Jordan's night, but he looks a little unsure.
