Hadfield Nativity

I have been meaning to post these pictures since the first of December, but kept putting it off, and then I forgot. We had the first annual Hadfield Christmas party the first Saturday of December. We had a delicious dinner, told the nativity story with all the cute nephews and niece dressed up, and we had a cousin gift exchange. Jordan got to be a cute little sheep for the Nativity reenactment, but he was like that one sheep that wanders off because we didn't see him the entire story.
This was the best picture I could get of Jordan in his costume.

Sam was baby Jesus. When we sang 'Away in a Manger' he danced and bounced. Then he started crying so we had to call in one of the angels (me) to come calm him down.

Then the wayward sheep found a new home in the manager. Hmmm...I don't think that's how the story goes.

It was bound to happen someday....

Santa Hat

Christmas Morning

I don't have many pictures because we filmed the whole thing, but I did get pictures of Jordan with all of his new toys....
And I got a picture of his favorite present. It was from his dad, and to say Jordan loved it is an understatement. It was this shirt....
Yes, my son's favorite present was a Washington Huskies shirt. This all started a few months ago when I was searching for a good basketball highlight video for Jordan and the only one I could find with clean language and high quality was a Huskies video. Now Jordan is obsessed with "W basketball". When he opened this present he yelled, "I want to watch W basketball!!" as he was stripping off his pajamas and trying to get his new shirt on. We had to take a 15 minute break from opening presents so Jordan could play W basketball.


Well, after all the presents were opened we had Christmas breakfast. Jordan is sitting in his the new booster chair he got from Santa.

I have had this breakfast on Christmas morning as long as I can remember, and my dad had this breakfast on Christmas when he was growing up.....
It's creamed eggs on homemade rolls with little smokies. Merry Christmas heart!!

Maybe the secret to voluminous hair is....

Christmas Eve

I've attempted this post twice, but have accidentally closed it right before posting. It's frustrating. This is my last try...

We had a fun Christmas Eve. We spent the day baking cookies, getting the house ready for Santa and new toys, we went to Benji's aunt's house for a Christmas party, and then we came home to open pajamas.

Then we put the kids to bed and Santa left some toys under the tree.

And played some video games.

And made Christmas breakfast until 2 am.

I wanted to get cute pictures of the babes all nestled in bed, but when I got upstairs to their room this is how I found Jordan.

So here he is after getting him back in bed and waiting 10 minutes.....

Visiting Santa

Jordan and I went and visited Santa Saturday night. Since he was scared of Santa last year, I felt like I needed to give him a fair warning before we went. I told him Santa is a big old man, with a huge white beard, wearing a big red suit, and if that isn't scary enough, you have to sit on his lap. I think I prepared him enough because he wasn't shy at all. After the long wait in the line he ran right up to him and climbed on his lap.

Before we left I asked Jordan what he was going to ask Santa for, and he enthusiastically replied, "Water!!" He didn't end up asking for agua, but a helicopter instead, which made me SO excited because that's what he is already getting! Although, I guess we already have water as well, but a helicopter is more fun.

I was cleaning up toys in the boy's room and turned around to find Sam like this in his crib. He was so excited.

The Rice Bowl

Jordan still loves playing in the rice - everyday.
I still don't mind him playing in it, but this is how I found the rice bowl a few days ago. Hmmm....maybe I need to make rules about what 'toys' he can play with in the rice.

Biter Biscuit

Biter biscuits are hard biscuits that just kind of melt away when chewed on, so they're perfect for teething babies that can't eat big chunks of food yet. Sam loves them, and I love them because sometimes the only way he is happy when he's not in my arms is if he has a biter biscuit to gnaw on. They are SO messy though.
